Unique characters,
alternative storytelling.
Standout perspective.
At DWY! (Designer Worships You!) We create thought-provoking art, embedded in the storytelling of DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) and it's changing characters.
Formed May 2025, as a creative and therapeutic outlet for self-expression, communication and challenging of social norms.
We start with the emotional, powerful and quarter of a century aged illustrations by Cheeks, the Artist, who through DID was personally connected to each character.
Our Feel the Fusion, opulent art collection, blurs the lines of joy, sorrow and struggles, of each of our unique characters. Reflection, which connects the audience, through the feeling of luxury and the fusion of understanding, created using sumptuous fabrics and 3D innovation, across a network of textile artisans.
Designs - created in Yorkshire.
Worshipped characters - illustrated in New York
Your opulent lifestyle - made in Paris and beyond.

Descriptions of DID have been reviewed by ‘an infinite mind’ to ensure that portrayal is correct. Please note: some details across 'Feel the Fusion' may trigger.
The aim of DWY! is to raise awareness, reduce stigma and the misconception that DID is rare or a lifestyle choice.
Meet Cheeks, the Artist, who grew up in Huddersfield, a town in Yorkshire once known for its prosperous textile industry and studied at Leeds Art University depicting that ‘bunnies are idiots’.
At the turn of the century, the Artist went to New York with his band mates, loving the art and sounds of the city, Cheeks spent time at MoMA and Guggenheim, engaging with street corner traders, purchasing his beloved roller boots, creating lyrics including that of the Howlin’ Badger and depicted over 40 characters.
Each piece across Feel the Fusion, collection by DWY! is created against a soundtrack.
Baxter Dury and Fred Again - These are my Friends was the final soundtrack of Cheeks, his funeral exit song.
The song highlights character change, detachment and numbness. Resulting in complex relationships but lifelong friends.

‘Believe’

A fantasy-based phenomenon, he is not!
Validation from being listened to and believed, prevents self-harm and suicide.
The Fall – Frightened soundtrack represents the 86% of people with DID who have a history of self-injury. Marks of pain can be seen underneath the lyrics on Believe.
Cheeks, documented his marks through photos, as amnesia prevented understanding. He would often hear the inner commentary and characterise Mark E Smith, which helped to distance Cheeks, not only from emotional pain, but also reality.
Stats Behind the Art:
Quarter of a billion people have DID, making up 3% of the global population, only 50% are diagnosed.
Stigma associated with DID creates a significant gap in quantifiable indicators.
70% of people with DID attempt suicide at least once = 175 million people.
Family and friends add to the global network of unsupported communities.
Easter 2022, at the age of 49 DID took over. Cheeks love for characterisation had gone. He no longer felt that the world was safe and took his life. Cheeks, was observed by neighbours and passers-by on the four-storey roof, for a full 12 hours before he jumped. If action to call the Police had been taken earlier, this would have prevented the suicide of Cheeks. Two months later in hospital, overlooking Castle Hill, Cheeks passed.
‘hen becomes Cock’
IP: 6450210
hen challenges the society norm of watching but not questioning.
hen’s soundtrack is Baby Dave - Middle Urinal Business, just like our ‘Feel the Fusion’ curated art collection, it showcases an alter who is bold, confident and dominant, a larger-than-life character.
DNA of the Black Shouldered Peahen’s sex chromosome was re-designed into the creation of the unique and vibrant colourful purple Peahen.
Triggers such as emotions, sounds, smells and colours all create memories, which bring to life a unique DID alter.
Jackie’s Picasso’
IP: 6450206
Pablo’s relationship with societal norms, much like Cheeks was complex, even rule breaking, both using their art to critique establishments across society and explore the human condition by characterising the streets anonymous, unseen and unheard.
Societies' issue with death, nudity and sex is primarily due to deeply ingrained cultural, religious and societal norms, associated with shame, sin and impropriety, often resulting in stigma.

‘Global Baller’s Soundtrack’

Global Baller, symbolises the coping strategy used to bounce back from marks of pain and stigma. Through visualisation, positive internal dialogue and community support, affecting people of all racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
The art of DWY! highlights how the brain reacts through the remarkable response of characterisation. Through collaboration we aim to raise awareness of DID across communities, encouraging people to question if help is needed, rather than watch.
Serge Gainsbourg - No Comment, soundtrack highlights the evasive thought so common with DID of ‘what is wrong with me’, and the recurring cycle of seeking answers, resulting in scepticism and the impossibility of deep meaningful connection.
‘The Jewel Protector’
IP: 6450232
Vic, our miracle hip hop Queen, struggled with sleeplessness, headaches, psychosomatic pains and prolonged periods of withdrawal, just like Cheeks, who loved music and used it as a coping strategy to deal with anxiety, disorientation, fear and intense emotion. Music played constantly and remains embedded across the DWY! Brand, with each art piece created against its own soundtrack.
Like streetwear, the roots of DWY! originated in New York. Streetwear similar to DID has had a significant impact across communities globally. Cheeks, would often lose himself in BAPE looking out to castle hill at midnight, a rollie in one hand and a pen in the other. Sketching character vibrations, keeping the eroding tale of Vic, protecting beloved Prince Albert’s alive.

It’s Going on Saturday
This encourages us to let our guard down!
For individuals with DID, unpredictable routine and inconsistent sleep schedules of the weekend, impacts the brains' function - increasing dissociation and more frequent drifting between alters.
